HVAC Installer I

(Yuba City, Natomas/Sacramento, Oakley)

With supervision, the HVAC Installer I, learns how to install HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, ductwork, thermostats, and other HVAC components according to technical specifications and safety guidelines including duct work, coils, and registers under the guidance of an HVAC Installer II, Lead or HVAC Manager.  This is an apprentice position.  Must be able to follow directions, read a tape measure, math skills, be detail oriented and dependable.  Most importantly, must be able to follow safety protocols.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor for extended periods, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and/or crawl, work in tight spaces and transport a 6-foot ladder, carry tools.

HVAC Installer II

(Yuba City, Natomas/Sacramento, Oakley)

The HVAC Installer II, installs HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, ductwork, thermostats, and other HVAC components according to technical specifications and safety guidelines including duct work, coils, and registers with guidance from the HVAC Manager.  The HVAC Installer II has 1-5 years of experience in this position.  May train HVAC Installers I.

Sheet Metal Installer I

(Yuba City, Natomas/Sacramento, Oakley)

Under the direct supervision of the Sheet Metal Lead, the Sheet Metal Installer will create and or install sheet metal products according to specifications or directions.   Must be able to follow directions, keep workspace clean, and use PPE and operate machinery safely.  Must be able to read work order and understand the product assignment.

Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials safely, climb ladders and work at various heights, work in various weather conditions, carry tools. Visual clarity for identifying issues with installations and repairs is necessary.

Sheet Metal Installer II

(Yuba City, Natomas/Sacramento, Oakley)

Will be responsible for creating, assembling, installing sheet metal products, such as ducts, vents, and HVAC systems, in residential homes. Will work closely with leads and other team members to ensure that all installations meet safety standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.   Will measure, cut, shape sheet metal materials to fit specifications.  Install and secure sheet metal products.  Must be comfortable and capable of climbing and working at various heights using ladders.  Must be able to properly tie off and use fall protection systems as required by safety standards. Must maintain a clean workspace and follow all safety protocols.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a sheet metal installer, preferably in residential new construction.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal tools, materials, and techniques.
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed installation plans.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
  • 1+ year experience as an HVAC or Sheet Metal technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC and Sheet Metal field.
  • Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills and some understanding of plans
  • Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
